Temporary Changes During Construction
Riders should be aware of the following changes at the Transit Center/High Street location:
- The bus loading areas will be moved directly behind the Transit Center to High Street with clearly marked bays, and on-site operations staff to assist passengers.
- No public restrooms, indoor waiting area, or water fountains – Passengers should plan accordingly.
- Limited seating and shelter – Riders are encouraged to prepare for all weather conditions.
- There will be no in-person bus pass sales at the Transit Center. Passes will be available for purchase online and at the Loudon Administrative Offices at 200 W Loudon Ave. As always, passengers may also pay with cash when boarding the bus.
- Customer service functions (phone support, pass sales, lost and found, ID processing) will be temporarily relocated to the Loudon Administrative Office, with normal hours from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm (Monday through Friday) and 8:00 am to 4:00 pm (Saturday).
- The Transit Center platform and sidewalk will be closed for the duration of construction. The parking garage and Vine St. cross walks will remain open, but the garage exits near the elevators will be blocked.
And That’s Not All!
During 2025, Lextran will also be making some other major improvements that will enhance your transit experience including:
- New display screens onboard buses for real-time updates
- MyStop Mobile app enhancements
- Fleet updates for a better transit experience (ongoing through Summer 2025)
