Customers should present a transfer ticket as payment when boarding the next bus in their trip.
*Transfers are not necessary for multi-day pass cards such as “Day Pass” or “30-Day Pass”.
*Transfers may not be exchanged for a single ride pass. There are no refunds, replacements, or exchanges for transfer tickets.
ID Card Requirements For Reduced Fares
Lextran ID cards must be presented to the operator upon boarding for reduced fare. Initial ID cards and replacements may be purchased for $5 at the Downtown Transit Center. Walk-ins are welcome Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, or you can call (859) 253-4636 to make an appointment. The applicant must be present to receive the ID card.

Seniors must provide an appropriate, government issued ID to verify date of birth with the application. A licensed healthcare professional must complete the designated portion of the form to verify the applicant’s eligibility if applying due to a disability.
- Students – A valid student ID card issued by the educational institution must be presented upon boarding for reduced fare. Proof of enrollment may also be presented at the Downtown Transit Center for a Lextran issued student ID card.
- Medicare – A valid Medicare ID card must be presented upon boarding to be eligible for half fare.

Your Pass Is Your Responsibility
Purchased passes are the responsibility of the rider. They cannot be returned, refunded, or replaced. For your anonymity, passes are not tracked in the event they are lost or stolen. Damaged passes may become invalid.
When Does My 30-Day Pass Start?
A 30-day pass is valid from the first time it is dipped into the farebox. A 30-day pass loaded onto a tap card begins on the date of purchase and can be reloaded monthly at the Downtown Transit Center.
