August 2025 Proposed Service Adjustments for Lextran Bus Route 24 and Route 51

Lextran has proposed service adjustments that will impact two Lextran bus routes beginning August 17, 2025.

Lextran has proposed adjustments to optimize two Lextran bus routes beginning August 17, 2025. These updates aim to increase the overall reliability and timeliness of Route 24 – Old Frankfort Pike and Route 51 – Night – Woodhill Drive. All other Lextran routes will remain the same.

Public Comment Opportunities

The Public Comment Period for the August 2025 Proposed Service Adjustments begins Tuesday, July 15, 2025, and ends Monday, August 4, 2025.

Public Comments and feedback related to the proposed adjustments may be submitted in the following ways:

Proposed Route Adjustments

Route 24 – Old Frankfort Pike

AdjustmentReason
– Route adjustment between the intersection of South Broadway and Oliver Lewis Way and the intersection of South Forbes Rd. and Old Frankfort Pike
– Time adjustments on the schedule for all inbound and outbound trips 
– Improve overall reliability and timeliness of the route
– Provide service to The Distillery District and Manchester St. area

– Improve overall reliability and timeliness of the route
