Lextran is proposing service improvements for December 2024 that will impact three Lextran bus routes.
Lextran is proposing service improvements that will impact the following Lextran bus routes beginning Sunday, December 22, 2024:
- Route 3 – Tates Creek Road
- Route 4 – Newtown Pike
- Route 12 – Leestown Road
These improvements aim to improve overall reliability and timeliness of each of these three routes. All other Lextran routes will remain the same.

Public Engagement Opportunities
Lextran will offer multiple public engagement opportunities where community members can learn about the proposed service improvements, ask questions, and submit public comments.
Lextran will offer public engagement opportunities at the following locations:
- Stop and Share Meet-Up at Stop 176 – Walmart at North Park
- November 19 – 9:00 am – 11am – 500 E New Circle Road, Lexington, KY
- Lexington Public Library – Tates Creek Branch – Large Meeting Room
- November 19 – 1:00 pm – 3628 Walden Drive, Lexington, KY
- Masterson Station Neighborhood Association Board Meeting
- November 19 – 7:00 pm – 328 Masterson Station Drive, Lexington, KY
How do I provide feedback (Public Comment) about the December 2024 Proposed Service Improvements to Lextran?
Lextran’s customers and community members will have the opportunity to give feedback on the December 2024 Proposed Service Improvements in the following ways:

- Call – (859) 244-2039 and leave a voicemail
- Write – Fill out a “Service Improvement Comment Card” at the Transit Center or 200 W Loudon Ave.
- Submit Online – Fill out a Contact Form online at lextran.com/contact-us
- Speak – Attend a Public Engagement Opportunity
The public comment period will begin Monday, November 11, 2024 and will end at 6:00 pm on Monday, November 25, 2024.
Comments received before Monday, November 18 at 6:00 pm will be reviewed, compiled, and may be shared during the public meetings held Tuesday, November 19, 2024. Any comments received after the November 18 deadline will be considered but will not be mentioned during the public meeting. Public comment will officially close on Monday, November 25 at 6:00 p.m.
