Lextran’s Response to Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) with UPDATES

MARCH 16, 2020 UDPATE:

Beginning Monday, March 16, the Loudon Administrative Office and the Transit Center Customer Service Window will be closed to the public until further notice. We will still be accepting calls to our main customer service number (859-253-4636) from 8:00am – 5:00pm. Please be patient as call volumes may be higher than normal.

Bus service will still operate regular weekday schedule. We will continue to update our all our social media, website, and our app MyStop Mobile. Thank you for your patience.

The health and safety of our passengers, employees, and community remain our number one priority at all times. Lextran is following guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Lexington-Fayette County Health Department in an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our community.  

Since January, our maintenance teams have been practicing additional cleaning and sanitizing of our buses and facilities with particular attention to high touch areas and surfaces.

Internally, Lextran employees have been encouraged to practice good hygiene and prevention practices.

Lextran has been included in conversations with Mayor Linda Gorton’s office and is participating in stakeholder meetings and calls regarding the virus.

We will continue to heed guidance from the CDC, Lexington-Fayette County Health Department, and state officials regarding actions we may take moving forward.

As the situation develops we will continue to keep our passengers and community informed.
